META BRUNZEMA

Meta Brunzema, principal of Meta Brunzema Architects P.C., has over 20 years of experience in architecture, urban design and development as well as education. She has a background in both environmental and spatial practices having received a Bachelor of Environmental Design Science degree from Dalhousie University in Canada and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University in New York. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Urban Design.
 
She began her professional practice in New York City – collaborating with the well-known architects Steven Holl, Rafael Vinoly and Charles Gwathmey – before launching her own firm in 1998. Ms. Brunzema is on the graduate faculty of Pratt Institute in New York, where her research focuses on sustainable urban design and large-scale real-estate development. She has lectured widely and her work has been published in journals in the US, Europe and Asia. Recently, her work has been featured in Robert A.M. Stern’s history book: New York 2000, Architecture & Urbanism (1976 – 2000).
