Gül Deliktaş has served as the Director of TOKI ‘s Urban Regeneration Department since May 2006.Before being appointed to this position, she has worked as an officer for the Urban Regeneration Department, as the Area Manager for Regeneration Projects, Deputy Project Manager, Property Department Regeneration Manager and as a Research and Development Department expert in TOKI since 1997. Prior to joining TOKI, Ms. Deliktaş has worked as a research fellow at the Urban and Regional Planning Department of the Middle East Technical University School of Architecture from 1995 to 1997, and as a Project Coordinator in Urban Planning at Kentkur A.Ş.
Ms. Deliktaş has received the European Union Basic Training, EU Expertise and Expropriation, Evaluation and Surveyor certificates from the Ankara University; and has published several articles covering the Scope and Schedules for Urban Regeneration Projects, the Status of the Real Estate Agencies since 1980’s, Environment Friendly Urban regeneration policies and Local Government Finance in Turkey. Among the several reports and analytic studies she has prepared are Legal Frame and Management in Urban Regeneration Projects, the Financial Structuring and Problems of Local Government Authorities in Turkey, Optimum Size of a Local Government with Respect to Service Utilization, Metropolitan Areas and Strategies for Urban Planning in İstanbul, Local Policies in Turkey and EU and Consumer Rights in the European Union. Gül Deliktaş has graduated from the TED Ankara College in 1990, and has received her Bachelor’s Degree as the valedictorian of her class in the Urban and Regional Planning Department, School of Architecture at the Middle East Technical University. She has received her M.A degree in the same institution, at the Urban Policies and Planning Department.
