MUSTAFA DEMİR

He was born 1959, in Diyarbakır. Following his secondary and high school education in Kahramanmaraş, Mustafa Demir attended to İstanbul University Faculty of Dentistry and graduated in 1983. Following his graduation, he worked as a freelance dentist together with his wife in Fatih. He served as the Founding Chairman of İstanbul Association of Dentists' Social and Cultural Solidarity. Between 1998–2000 he has served as the Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party. In 2002, he became the Founding Member of Justice and Development Party’s İstanbul Province Managament Board. In 2003 he served as the Deputy Chairman and Public Relations Principle of the Party’s İstanbul Province Organization. In the 2004 regional elections, he was elected as the Mayor of Fatih Municipality. Mustafa Demir is married, has two children and speaks English.
