İBRAHİM EKŞİ
İbrahim Ekşi was born in 1960 in Tulumpınar, İkizdere in the province of Rize; he studied at the local elementary school and the Atatürk High School in Erzurum. He graduated from the faculty of economics of the Eskişehir Anadolu University, in 1991, after having completed his military service. Ibrahim Ekşi was already familiar with the construction sector since his early childhood thanks to his father Halim Eksi’s building company. Since 1999, he works as the chairman of Hektaş İnşaat Group of Companies, established jointly with his father and brothers. Hektaş İnşaat Group of Companies is active in hundreds of projects in various fields such as energy, construction, education and health, covering the whole of Turkey, from west to east, between Edirne and Kars. The current Idealist Kent Project, a present for the inhabitants of Istanbul, will be a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the group. İbrahim Ekşi, who believes in the institutionalization of family corporations, is also the vice chairman of the Hakkı Ekşi Education, Culture and Health Foundation, jointly established by his father and brothers. This foundation is very active in the field of education, health, culture and sports. İbrahim Ekşi is married with four children; he works in several NGO’s as a president and active member.
