ERDOĞAN BAYRAKTAR

Erdoğan Bayraktar was born in Trabzon in 1949. He got his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from  State Engineering and Architecture Academy of Istanbul and his master’s degree on alternative allocation units in metropolitan regions from Istanbul University, Institute of Science. During his career, Mr. Bayraktar served as General Director of various enterprises for the Metropolitan Municipalities of Ankara and Istanbul for over twenty years. He has been appointed as the President of Housing Development Administration of Turkey in 2002. He attended language and construction technologies courses in USA and several housing and real estate educational programs and conferences throughout Europe.
His recently published book is titled, Shanty Towns and Urban Regeneration.
